When you think about a digital downloads, most people think of downloading music or movies.  Digital downloads are much more than downloading music and movies.  There are tons of things we can get instant access to such as ebooks, courses, worksheets, wall decor, information sheets, graphic, images  plus more. 

A digital download isn't an object. It is a completely in the air (if you use WIFI) or through-the-wire  method of getting a digitized product. You click on a link from your computer, and receive something from another computer.  You do not need to wait for it to arrive through the post.

Purchasing something which is digital is a super quick and easy way of getting something.  You can scroll around a website and find something you like. You click the buy now and the file will be delivered to your computer, with little waiting time. 

Are all digital downloads safe?

No, not all digital downloads are safe. 

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and therefore do not trust. With this we are talking about downloading movies and music.  Download only from the trusted websites and always be wary of any site that offers downloads of free movies or anything that shouldn’t be available to consumers for free.

Many bloggers now offer free digital downloads such as free eBooks and printables or graphics in exchange for your email address. These from experience are generally safe however, you should always do a scan on the file for viruses before opening. The majority of anti-virus software will scan files for malicious intent if you right-click on the file you’re trying to download.
