The Happiness Jar: How To Make It (And Why You Should) Plus your free template - KY designX

What is a happiness jar?

The happiness jar is a glass container in which you place a note of gratitude every day or every week. Write down one good thing that happened every day.

What are some of the benefits?

There are many health benefits associated with practicing gratitude, including improved mood, better sleep, more positive habits, and improved physical health.

It is no secret, though, that reaping these benefits is not as easy as it sounds. In a busy world, remembering the good things that happen to us can be challenging at times. It takes only a few minutes a week for you to think about 1 or 2 things that made you happy. Write them down and put them in an jar.

As the jar fills up, watch it grow. At the end of the year or when feeling low, take out all the papers and read about all the good stuff.

4. Write and fold it, put it into the jar,

5. Repeat each week and watch the jar get fuller and fuller with happy memories.

What should I add to my Happiness Jar?

  • There are lots of things you could add to your happiness jar including:
  • A happy moment of the week
  • An act of gratitude
  • Something the kids did that was nice
  • Something someone said to you that made you smile
  • Maybe you made someone happy and inturn that became a happy moment for you.

So why am I sharing this with you?

I think it is important to remember all of the good things that have happened to us. Life can be so hectic and busy, that we often forget to focus on the positives. So, I am setting myself a goal to do this activity every week for 52 weeks.

I would love to hear how you get on. Feel free to comment below.
